GoGoX vs BoxPls: A Fair Singapore Delivery Comparison

How a vehicle-hailing app and a fixed-price fleet compare on pricing, predictability, batching, and man and van hire.

GoGoX, the platform formerly known as GogoVan, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June 2022 across more than 340 cities in five markets, yet its shares fell 22% on debut to a US$1.3 billion valuation, according to a 2022 Forbes report. Scale across a region does not tell you which courier fits the parcel in front of you in Singapore.

GoGoX and BoxPls are built around two different questions

GoGoX asks which vehicle you need. BoxPls asks what the job costs. That single difference shapes pricing, predictability, and who owns the run.

GoGoX is an on-demand vehicle-hailing app. You pick a tier, from motorcycle and sedan up through vans and 10-foot, 14-foot, and 24-foot lorries, and the platform matches you to a nearby driver, per GoGoX's official Singapore service page (2026). That vehicle range is its real strength. If you are moving a two-bedroom flat or an office of furniture, that lorry menu is hard to beat.

BoxPls does fewer things on purpose. We are a man and van operator: a dedicated van and in-house driver booked by the half-day or full-day block at one flat rate, with loading, unloading and up to 30 stops included. The van takes up to 4.8m³ and 1,100kg of ambient cargo, with each item kept under 20kg for one-person handling, trolley provided.

So if you need a lorry and a vehicle tier, GoGoX's menu wins. If you are clearing a round of deliveries or booking a driver for the day, keep reading.

GoGoX prices by vehicle tier, then adds surcharges on top

The number you see at the top of the GoGoX app is a starting point, not the final fare. Its pricing is built per vehicle class, with extras layered on afterward.

Per GoGoX's official Singapore pricing page (2026), a van starts around S$25 to S$39 and covers loading and unloading by the driver, while lorries run from S$42 up to roughly S$167 for the 24-foot class. On top of the base, GoGoX lists a public holiday surcharge of S$3 for motorcycles and cars and S$5 for vans and lorries, a late-night surcharge of 10% of the base fee from 10pm and 20% after midnight, a CBD zone charge of S$2 to S$3, and restricted-zone charges of S$10 to S$15. That structure is transparent and fair. It is also hard to quote a flat delivery fee to your own buyers when the total shifts with the tier, the hour, and the zone.

BoxPls charges one flat rate for the booked block. There is no peak markup, no CBD zone fee, and no late-night multiplier, so the same window costs the same at 9am, at 6pm, or after midnight. If you charge customers a fixed shipping fee, a fare that swings by hour and zone quietly eats your margin, a problem we break down alongside surge pricing in our Lalamove vs BoxPls comparison.

A vehicle-hailing model trades predictability for reach

GoGoX's scale comes from a broad pool of on-demand drivers across many vehicle types. That reach is real, and it is also why the pickup depends on who is nearby and available.

GoGoX operated across more than 340 cities in Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore, South Korea, and India at its 2022 listing, with millions of registered drivers, according to a 2022 Forbes report. A pool that size means vehicle variety on tap and drivers available at odd hours. In our experience running a fleet, the quiet cost of any hailing model is that collection waits on whoever accepts, and a late pickup can unravel a tight delivery day.

BoxPls trades pool size for control. Every driver is employed and dispatched in-house rather than opting in, so the job is assigned the moment you book and the same handling standard applies to every parcel. You give up the breadth of a marketplace and gain a pickup you can plan around.

If your day falls apart when a collection slips, that difference matters more than a dollar on the quote.

Multi-stop and recurring routes reward a fleet built for batching

If you send several parcels a day, or run the same drops every week, this is where the two models split hardest. A vehicle-hailing app is built around one vehicle for one trip; a booked block lets you pool a full run under one driver and one invoice.

BoxPls lets you put up to 30 stops in one booked block, plans the route in optimal order for you, and charges no per-stop fee, so the fifteenth drop costs nothing more than the second. For businesses that run the same route week after week, BoxPls also offers recurring scheduled blocks, so an SME can lock a driver for a shift instead of re-hailing a vehicle every parcel. We weigh that trade in our guide to man and van hire versus an in-house driver.

Because man and van hire is our core offering and priority-scheduled, you get in touch or book it through your account rather than open-hailing a block. For a Carousell or Shopee seller clearing ten orders a day, one accountable driver holding the whole run beats ten separate handoffs.

So which should you choose

Match the tool to the job. Choose GoGoX when you need a bigger vehicle, a bulky or heavy move, or a one-off lorry job, because that tiered vehicle range from van to 24-foot lorry is what it does best.

Choose BoxPls when you are batching a day of orders, running a recurring route, or hiring a man and van for a shift, and you want a price locked before you book with no surge, no zone fee, and one accountable driver. BoxPls half-day support starts from $165 with the exact total shown before you pay, full-day support from $299, and a 5% platform service fee applies at checkout. You can compare the full range on the BoxPls pricing page. This block model arrived with the August 2026 BoxPls restructure.

The simplest test is your day. If your deliveries fit one van and one driver's window, price a block first and see the real number before you commit. If you are also weighing a crowdsourced courier, see how the numbers land in our UParcel vs BoxPls comparison.
